About the Recruitment & Result

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) had advertised Total-26 vacancies for the post of House Mother/Matron (Only for Female) under Post Code 38/24 in the Women & Child Development (WCD) Department. These vacancies were distributed as [UR-11, EWS-03, OBC-07, SC-04 & ST-01], including horizontal reservations for PwBD Sub Cat (a)-01, Sports Person (SP)-01, and ExSM-02.

The Online examination (Tier-I) was conducted on 28 August 2025, and a total of 240 candidates appeared. The marks statements for this post code have now been uploaded on the Board's website, and candidates can view their marks by logging into their individual accounts on the OARS module at www.dsssbonline.nic.in.

Based on performance in this examination, a total of 67 candidates who obtained marks above or equal to the cut-off marks in their respective categories have been provisionally shortlisted to upload their requisite documents in the e-dossier module.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

The mandatory minimum qualifying marks in the Tier-I Examination apply only to Section-B (domain subject specific). There are no minimum qualifying marks for Section-A. However, the combined aggregate marks of both Section-A (100 marks) and Section-B (100 marks) are used to prepare the final merit list. The minimum qualifying standards are:

  • UR / EWS Category: 40%
  • OBC Category: 35%
  • SC / ST / PwBD Category: 30%
  • Ex-Servicemen (ExSM): Will be given 5% relaxation in their respective categories, subject to a minimum of 30%.

Tie-Breaking Rules

As per the advertisement No. 05/24 Examination Scheme Para 4 (vii), in case two or more candidates in the same category have equal marks, the following rules apply (for One Tier/Technical/Teaching posts):

  1. Rule 1: The candidate securing more marks in the subject-specific section (Section-B) is to be placed higher in merit.
  2. Rule 2: In case the marks mentioned above are also equal, the candidate senior in age is to be placed higher in merit.

Adjustment Against Unreserved Vacancies

Reserved category candidates who have obtained marks equal to or above the last shortlisted UR candidate will be shortlisted against UR vacancies. Their final selection will be considered in the UR category, subject to the availability of vacancies. Otherwise, they will be considered for selection in their respective category.

Important Notices & Pending Court Cases

This shortlisting for calling the e-dossier is subject to the outcome of pending court cases—specifically, OA No. 585/2024 and OA No. 1274/2024 pending before the Hon'ble CAT, Delhi. The final result will also be subject to the outcome of these cases. Additionally, while every care has been taken in preparing the shortlist, DSSSB reserves the right to rectify errors and omissions, if any, detected at any stage.
